Part of my work as a Speech Language Therapist is to collaborate with so many other health professionals that are interested in giving me their opinion on different cases.

The health professionals may already attend the same case that I do, or I just get in contact with them in order to ask for their opinion and help and in order to ask them to provide their professional and therapeutic tools in the case that I’m working on.

So far, I´ve collaborated with so many other therapists such as, neuropsychologists, psychologists, occupational therapists and more. The objective is to be on the same page, to coordinate and to find similar therapeutic ways from still a different point of view or from different areas that have to be treated.

My experience has taught me that the sooner we get in contact with all therapists together, the better results we´ll have. Our common objective is to help the person we treat and to help their environment with the best guidelines.

The same happens with school. I continuously collaborate with schools, with the teachers and with the support team that school provides in order to help the child. My goal is to facilitate children’s learning environment by giving ideas and solutions to their teachers, to their school. For this reason, I visit school very often and I coordinate with it.

The therapeutic objectives are definitely reached when we all work together and have the same idea, to help the child, the person and their family.

There are so many different approaches that lots of professionals have, at least in my sector. That’s the wonderful thing! I´m always open to new and innovative ideas.
